About RayMar Art
Dear Artists,
I'm Cathy Dietrich and am passionate about painting. After raising a family, in 1998 I enrolled in the Scottsdale Artist's School to become a professional painter. In my workshops, I discovered quality painting panels were not available to the artist. My instructors even suggested students make their own. Unfortunately, this process is difficult and time consuming for artists who just want to paint. My husband John and I envisioned a durable, light-weight, commercially produced panel. Blending my enthusiasm for art with his management experience, RayMar was born.
We consulted with Kevin Macpherson. He was excited and supportive of a superior painting panel to free up more painting time for artists. He became our mentor and is actively involved in our product design and development.
Today we manufacture cotton and linen panels and panel carriers in Phoenix, Arizona. In 2005, we achieved our dream of launching an Annual Fine Art Competition. I learned in my workshops a professional instructor's critique is priceless. It inspires confidence and improvement. In our competition, a professional artist's critique is posted on the internet with every finalist's painting. Our talented and generous jurors help benefit every artist who visits our website.
Every painter is unique. We created our products and competition to enhance and inspire your love of painting.
We welcome any comments you have to improve RayMar. We strive to supply you with the highest quality products and customer service.
Thank you for choosing RayMar.
Happy Painting!
