Judge: William Wray

William Wray began working in the animation
business as a teen-ager. He eventually enrolled in The Art
Students League in New York. Uninspired by the conceptual fine
art world of the eighties, William went back to work in comic
books, animation and illustration. He is best known for his
painting style on the Ren and Stimpy Show and his work in Mad
Magazine.
After a concentrated series of oil
painting workshops over the last few years, and a total
transformation of his art style, William is tackling fine art
oil painting with a bend toward the urban scene. His first solo
collection of work entitled “Dirty Beauty” has just been
released. He is a member of LAPPA, the California Art club and
the OIL Painters of America. Bill is represented by Segil Fine
Art In Monrovia with a show in July, Martha Higgins in Downtown
Los Angeles with a show in October and will be having a one-man
show at the Bakersfield Museum of art in December.
