Q: Why is the company named RayMar?
A: Founder, John Dietrich named the company in honor of his creative and self-reliant parents, Raymond and Marion Dietrich.
Q: How many panels come in a package?
A: Ten.
Q: What if I just want to try out the panels?
A: We sell a sample pack for $17. The sample pack contains four 6x8 panels, one in each texture (medium cotton, smooth cotton, single oil primed linen, and double oil primed linen).
Q: How are the products shipped?
A: Our panels are shipped to the address you specify. Most orders are shipped via UPS Ground. Sample packs are shipped Priority Mail with USPS unless ordered with other items. Other shipping carriers are used upon customer request. Items shipped to Post Office Boxes and to Hawaii or Alaska will require additional shipping charges.
Q: What orders qualify for free shipping promotions?
A: Free shipping promotions are for orders shipped to the 48 contiguous United States. Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii will incur additional shipping charges, but will receive discounted shipping rates. For further explanation on AK/HI policy, contact us at 1.888.809.3314. International shipping is not included during free shipping promotions. Also during free shipping promotions, orders over $300 will have a $5 packaging and handling fee added to the order, but will still receive free shipping.
Q: Do you cut custom size panels?A: Yes! Although not available online, you can call us on our toll free number 888.809.3314 and we will quote you any size between 3"x3" and 48"x48". Read more on our custom panels page. Q: Why does RayMar spell "Plein Aire" with an 'e' at the end?A: 'Plein Aire Panel' is RayMar's registered trademark. The French painting term "plein air" refers to painting outdoors, but "Plein Aire Panel" is our product name.
