Artfix Belgian linens are created for serious painters who insist on a superior surface and archival quality. For over 50 years, Artfix has been internationally recognized as the finest linen with a true conservator grade surface. All linens are meticulously hand primed in a small village in Provence, France by the Narozni family.
"The Artfix L22U surface has that “just right” status with me. It’s smooth enough for me to wipe away passages when I need to, but has enough texture to hold the brushstrokes where I want them. And since it’s acrylic primed, I can use an acrylic or an oil-based ground if I choose to add some variety to the surface. I also appreciate the quality and durability of Raymar’s melamine backing. I’ve never had a panel warp or had the linen separate from the backing as I have with other brands, and the edges and corners hold up to plein air painting and travel. No dinged, chipped, or bent corners. The L22U is my panel of choice for both my plein air and studio work."
